The Golf Course

The centerpiece is an 18-hole championship course designed by Joe Lee, occupying roughly 146 acres within the community's 336. It is a mature layout — plush tree-lined fairways, Bermuda grass throughout, and the kind of established canopy that a course built in the 1970s develops and a newer one cannot replicate.

The course plays from multiple sets of tees, and the club maintains full practice facilities alongside it.

Club Amenities

Beyond golf, the club operates eight Har-Tru tennis courts along with pickleball courts, a fitness center, a resort-style pool and deck, spa services and saunas, and a large renovated clubhouse with dining and event space. The club runs an active social and events calendar.

The Homes

Seagate's 420 residences are divided among ten distinct subdivisions, including Bougainvilla Enclave, The Estates, Evergreene, Fox Hollow, Fox Pointe, Greensward, Lakewoode and Pine Lake. The mix spans both single-family homes and condominiums.

Condominiums come in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, ranging from roughly 750 square feet to more than 1,900. Single-family homes — many of them custom-built — run from approximately 1,280 square feet to just under 6,000, on lots from about 0.17 acre to more than an acre. Many back to fairways, lakes or mature tree lines.

One thing to understand before touring. The community was built between 1972 and 1983, which means the housing stock is now forty to fifty-plus years old and condition varies more dramatically here than in almost any comparable Delray community. Some homes have been taken down to the studs and fully rebuilt with new kitchens, baths, roofs, impact glazing and mechanical systems. Others remain substantially original. Two homes of similar size on similar lots can be very different propositions, and list price alone is a poor guide — renovation scope belongs in the budget from the first showing, not the inspection period.

Location and Nearby

Seagate's position on Atlantic Avenue is its most durable advantage. I-95 is a few minutes east and Florida's Turnpike a few minutes west, with Military Trail and Linton Boulevard both close.

Downtown Delray Beach — the restaurants, galleries and nightlife along Atlantic Avenue that gave the city its reputation — is roughly ten minutes east, with the municipal beach just beyond. Delray Marketplace, with dining, shopping and a cinema, is a short drive west. Boca Raton's Mizner Park and Town Center at Boca Raton are about twenty minutes south, and the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is nearby.

Delray Medical Center and Bethesda Hospital both serve the area. Palm Beach International Airport is approximately 30 minutes north and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International roughly 40 minutes south.
